About
I'm an expressive psychotherapist trained at Lesley University (MA 2014) in Cambridge, MA, USA. My practice incorporates music, visual art, writing, movement, breathwork, meditation/mindfulness, sand tray/sand play, and several elements related to IFS, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and more. I'm also a board-certified music therapist utilizing songwriting, lyric analysis, guided imagery with music, music listening, and music-making in therapy (the instruments I utilize are my voice, percussion, piano, guitar, and lever harp). In my practice I endeavor to be culturally sensitive, spiritually sensitive. I work from a decolonized feminist/humanist viewpoint. In the past several years, I've volunteered with First Aid of the Soul for Ukrainian support post-invasion by Russia, as well as a pro bono "movement chaplain" for IfNotNow for activists for Palestine and against ICE here in America. I have been in private practice since 2019 and currently work out of my home providing in-person and telehealth therapy.
My approach is client-centered, compassionate, nonjudgmental, reflective, and my philosophy of therapy involves knowing how we are all inter-connected, that the macro affects the micro and vice versa, and that my role is to allow the person I serve to be self-compassionate and find resources from within and from their communities of support.
