About
I am a recent Guidance and Psychological Counseling graduate from Gazi University in Ankara, with supervised experience across school-based and clinical settings. During a nine-month internship at a vocational high school, I worked primarily with adolescents and young people, conducting supervised individual and group counseling and designing psychoeducational interventions focused on psychological resilience, decision-making, academic goal setting, career development, and personal growth. I also completed a three-month clinical internship, where I gained supervised experience in psychological assessment, behavioral observation, and case-related clinical processes, including familiarity with standardized assessment tools such as the MMPI. I currently contribute as a Research Assistant to an international research project at SWPS University exploring agency, morality, and dehumanization, supporting cross-cultural research in Turkey with particular attention to refugee perceptions and migration-related dynamics. My developing professional interests include trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive approaches to mental health, with a particular interest in migration, displacement, dignity, identity, and the psychosocial impacts of dehumanization.
